Partnership with Native Americans (PWNA)

In Spring 2015, One World Play Project sent me on my first “giving trip” - a firsthand experience visiting our giving partners.

  • Overview: I toured Native American communities across Arizona and New Mexico, meeting with donation recipients from various organizations, groups and tribes.

  • Partner: This trip would not have been so impactful without our trusty guide Laura Schad, Partnership with Native Americans (PWNA) Program Coordinator.

  • Event dates: April 29 - May 4, 2015

Key Responsibilities

  • Connect with donation recipients: Jemez Pueblo Youth Center, Lupton Senior Center, and Grants Springs Children's Soccer Team.

  • Conduct and film interviews at each location: showcasing the importance of play for various members of the Native American community.

  • Company recap: I wrote this blog on our experience, entitled "Play Goes Southwest."
