In Summer 2020, I had the opportunity to produce a social media campaign for Makiko Harris Art. The goal was to deepen the connection with her existing followers while introducing her work and journey to new audiences. The campaign focused on sharing Makiko’s personal evolution as an artist—highlighting her history and creative growth over the years. My services included:

  • Storyboarding: Concept development, scripting, and flow.

  • Production: Graphic design, layout, and visual elements.

  • Editing: Video editing, graphic design, and captioning.

Intro / Outro Videos

For this campaign, I scripted personalized videos for Instagram Stories to welcome, engage, and thank the viewers throughout the series. With inclusivity in mind, I ensured all videos were closed-captioned—providing an accessible viewing experience for followers who may have challenges with audio or prefer watching without sound. This thoughtful addition helped increase engagement and made the content more inclusive for a wider audience.


Results

The “Maki Moments” campaign launched on Facebook and Instagram, and within its first week, it achieved impressive results: a 3x increase in direct engagement, 70+ new followers, and a notable boost in sales of Makiko’s artwork. Today, the series continues to thrive across the artist’s social media profiles, remaining accessible in both highlights and static posts. Evergreen content for the win!
