Ho-Ho-Holidays!

From 2016-2020, a fun and festive part of my job at Benefit Cosmetics was being in charge of developing the annual company holiday card and wrapping paper. From start to finish, I was the project manager. Working as a cross-functional lead for our copy, art, and operations teams to make this happen on a global scale. Here are some final results.

In light of the global pandemic, I created a holiday e-card, which could be shared widely and economically via digital. The style inspiration was in favor of Benefit’s brand refresh, featuring its new aesthetic and cheerful signature colors.

It’s pink… and it’s scented! The 2019 theme was doing something NEW and FRESH. We celebrated our new brand visuals with an air freshener concept. Something cute, unique, and best of all... usable and sustainable!! Did you know your sense of smell ties strongest with memories? We do, with all the love from this memorable card!

Let them eat cake! The 2018 theme was confectionary cakes, matching with our holiday product range. We highlighted these visuals with delicate gold leaf accents. The card itself served as a delightful surprise that unfolded to reveal a three-tiered cake in two different flavors. We also included a pin-hole for decorative hanging.

Honk if you’re hot! The 2017 theme was all things 70s. Coming off trail of our company's 40th anniversary, we wanted to celebrate Benefit's San Francisco roots and spirit of free love. This was my first holiday card project, and from this we developed evergreen bumper sticker artwork that has been used company-wide for various other projects! For example, huge magnets for real VW buses.
